Odour Control Ltd designs, builds and maintains odour neutralisation and dust suppression systems for landfill, waste transfer, composting, sewage treatment and industry — built in our own workshops, proven on the toughest sites in the UK and Europe.
Odour problems differ — by process, by season, by layout, by neighbour. We carry a range of answers and recommend what the site needs, not what we happen to sell.
Essential-oil neutralisation delivered by fogging, misting, atomiser and dry vapour systems.
Explore →Rain guns, dust cannons and misting for haul roads, aggregates and processing halls.
Explore →Bio-Block & SWG treatment for fat, oil and grease in sewers and treatment works.
Explore →Odour assessment and boundary surveys to quantify the problem before we treat it.
Explore →Planned servicing and emergency repair — including systems installed by others.
Explore →With more than two decades of experience in odour control and environmental services, we've refined our systems on the most demanding sites in the UK and Europe.
We'll assess the odour or dust problem, the site layout and the receptors around you — then recommend the right system, with no obligation.
Arrange a free site surveyOur essential-oil neutralisers don't cover a smell with a stronger one — they combine with odorous molecules in the air to form new compounds with no odour at all. H₂S, most mercaptans, ammonia and most amine odours can all be effectively neutralised. The systems below are the delivery methods we design, build and install to get that chemistry to your odour source.
Neutraliser solution is dosed, mixed with water and atomised at high pressure through stainless steel nozzles — producing droplets as small as 10 microns for maximum contact with odorous gas.
Workshop-built units that go where the odour is.
Odour neutralisation with no water, no wetting and virtually no maintenance — operating at a molecular level from as little as 60 watts.
Bio-organic formulations that accelerate natural biodegradation — surfactants trap odour compounds while pre-formed enzymes break them down at source. 100% biodegradable, harmless to people, animals and the environment, and effective at low concentrations. Simply dilute with water. Specialist formulations include ODS-20 LCH for leachate lagoons and ODS-20 FD for food waste.
A passive tub of gel beads that neutralises malodour wherever it’s a problem — kitchen extraction, offices, washrooms and toilets, plant and process extraction systems, and more. No power, no water, no installation, guaranteed four-week life — powered by Neusol DV, exclusive to us in England.
Every installation starts with a free survey and an honest recommendation.
Talk to usAirborne dust is a health exposure, a visibility hazard and an emissions issue rolled into one. Our systems capture dust at the point of generation — droplet size tuned to bind to airborne particles and bring them to ground, using a fraction of the water of conventional dousing.
High-throw rain gun assemblies covering stockpiles, crushing and screening operations and large open processing areas — robust, simple, effective.
Rapid-deployment cannons and atomised misting lines for the dust sources that move — working faces, haul roads and temporary operations.
Free site survey, honest recommendation, no obligation.
Arrange a surveyFat, oil and grease build-up clogs sewers, corrodes networks, generates H₂S odour and drives up tankering and maintenance costs. Our Bio-Block and SWG biological treatments put the problem to work against itself — colonising the grease with bacteria and enzymes that break it down continuously, with no power, no dosing equipment and no hazardous chemicals.
The use of enzymatic products is, undoubtedly, an area of customer scepticism. Yet recent reports have shown the efficacy of Effective Microorganisms (EM) in breaking down the fat, oil and grease in our public sewers — the giant "fatbergs" that cause so many blockages.
Odour Control Ltd has been active in this area for the last twenty years, working with several industry experts to tailor solutions to specific substrates. Honestly? It's a passion — and we'd love to discuss any query you have, and to convince you of this planet-saving technology.
A cylindrical block of aerobic and facultative bacteria, enzymes and micronutrients, suspended in the wet well in a nylon mesh. The kick-start treatment — water-soluble pouches applied over the first weeks — colonises the grease itself, so the bacteria stay in contact with the FOG rather than being pumped away.
Chemical dosing for H₂S and FOG — ferric chloride, permanganate, nitrates, peroxide — demands storage tanks, dosing plant, continuous tanker traffic and hazardous handling. SWG biological treatment needs none of it: small manual doses, effects that persist for days after dosing stops, and a sewer network that starts working as an extension of the treatment plant. It degrades the fat rather than fighting the symptoms — and it costs significantly less.
We'll assess the wet well or network and propose a treatment programme.
Discuss a trialMalodour emissions from waste processing are often a contentious and litigious issue. A complaint can be upheld on the subjective opinion of a single complainant, with no scientific basis beyond one person's sense of smell. Our in-field assessment and reporting service exists to rebalance that situation — introducing empirical data to quantify what is actually crossing your boundary.
Trained operatives carry out a full inspection of the processing facility and measure migrating emissions using the latest in-field olfactometry equipment (the Nasal Ranger, St. Croix), producing objective data to quantify any identified arisings.
This service has been used extensively in the UK, Ireland and West Africa, and has often proved imperative in the successful defence of a complaint or non-compliance.
An odour survey is often the fastest route to the right answer — and the cheapest.
Book a surveyAn odour control system only protects you while it's running properly. We provide planned maintenance and rapid-response repair for the systems we install — and, unusually in this sector, for systems installed by others. If your original supplier has disappeared, put prices up or stopped answering the phone, we'll survey the installation and take it on.
Scheduled servicing of pumps, lines, nozzles, atomisers and controls — catching wear before it becomes failure.
Responsive call-out when something stops working, charged by the hour.
Free survey of your existing installation — whoever built it — then a proposal to bring it under our care.
Mobile odour and dust units on weekly hire — the fast answer for short-term works or covering a repair.
Book a free maintenance survey and get it back under proper care.
Book a maintenance surveyWhether it's a persistent odour problem, a dust issue, a grease-bound wet well, or a system nobody will service any more — start with a conversation. Site surveys are free and carry no obligation.
